3rd week of 2019: summary

I managed to stick to my plan during the whole week, albeit the quality of my training decreased due to amount of my chess unrelated duties. I was often too tired to play a quality game or do tactics carefully enough.

Tactics

Every day I was solving tactics for at least one hour. I liked the idea of redoing tactics that went wrong after each session.

Books

This week I continued to study Jeremy Silman’s The Amateur’s Mind. Last week I wondered whether its content is adequate to my skill level. I’m still not sure. I understand everything, but I don’t know if I will be able to make a practical use of my new knowledge. This might be a problem related to my approach to longer games, though.

Games and analysis

I played at least one game of 30+0 every day, trying to analyze it afterwards. As I said earlier, I was often too tired to play a quality game, and make a proper analysis.
